  • Best Decision EVER

My Subaru drives really smooth. I love the suspension and how much the car hugs the corners when turning. I have not had any problems with my car whatsoever and I plan on keeping it for a lifetime. Definitely one of the best decisions I have ever made was buying this car. My vehicle is so reliable and works great on snow and slick conditions. Just make sure you have the right tires for all types of conditions.

Absolutely love this car. It's simply a joy to ride on the back roads where I live. BIG difference in handling and smoothness of ride depending on tires and size. My WRX came with 18" painted and clear-coated wheels. They look beautiful, but I hated the ride the 18" tires gave the car. I quickly bought two 17" tire/wheel packages (Winter -Summer) from Tire Rack and was pleased with the improved ride. Albeit the handling was not nearly as good. I still put the stock tires back on once-in-awhile--just for the superb handling. I also installed the upgraded Harmann-Kardon stereo system and Stage IV Cobb system which now gives it 333 HP and roughly 345 ft/lbs of torque. There's not another 4-cylinder on the road that will touch this. With my Accessport hooked up, I can do 0-60 in 4.75 seconds and could probably get this a little quicker but don't like cold starts as it's hard on the tranny and clutch. I polish and wax every week to 10-days. It's garage kept and still looks brand new. I change the oil & filter every 5,000 miles using Motul 8100. I think it's the best engine oil you can get. The oil still has some gold-coloring when I make the oil changes. Haven't had one mechanical problem---yet...

This 2016 WRX is my 3rd new WRX. (I had a 2005 and a 2009 before). I am 73 years old and the comfort in both front seats is perfect for us average sized people. I have always been a stick shift driver and part of buying my 1st WRX was that sticks were getting hard to find. I have stayed with WRX's because they are fun, practical, durable and perfect for New England weather. I get 32 mpg average in warm weather on extended trips. 29 mpg around town or around twisty country roads. I have always viewed powerful cars as safer cars - you have the reserves to get out of the way or onto busy interstates without hesitation. Zero to 60 mph in less than 6 seconds gives me options. I have NEVER had a mechanical issue with any of my WRX's. Only weak point has been sub par batteries. ( too weak for really cold starts and poor durability) So, new tires and batteries has been it for parts. I replace the stock summer performance tires with high speed all weather Conti's which are far superior on wet slippery surfaces. With the new 2.0 L. engine I run the synthetic oil 6k miles. I run 89 mid grade gas all year and it performs great. (93 delivers slightly better mpg and slightly better straight line sprints)
